Minnesota Population Center
The IPUMS Terra project is led by the Minnesota Population Center (MPC). The MPC is a University-wide interdisciplinary cooperative for demographic research, serving more than 100 faculty members and research scientists from ten colleges and institutes at the University of Minnesota. As a leading developer and disseminator of demographic data, the MPC also serves a broader audience of some 50,000 demographic researchers worldwide.

University Libraries
The University of Minnesota Libraries facilitates key connections between IPUMS Terra and scientific communities and provides insights on organizational sustainability. The Libraries have led the development of major digital library projects, including significant international collaborations, publisher partnerships, and large-scale production systems. Additional cyberinfrastructure activities currently underway include the Antarctica Geospatial Information Center; the TechLens project to investigate the use of citations, personal bibliographies, and metadata to synthesize recommender systems for library users; the EthicShare project, a virtual community for bioethicists that includes harvested collections, content resolution services, and collaboration tools; and HarvestChoice, which employs “bibliospatial” system interoperability to help guide strategic agricultural investments in sub-Saharan Africa.
